Local farmer Aurelio Salvador’s efforts to collect coffee from small producers in and around Tecpán, Chimaltenango resulted in this delicious coffee. Most of the farms contributing to this lot are under 10 hectares in size. Aurelio buys their harvests and coordinates getting everything to the mill in Antigua. This process allows the farmers to showcase coffee specifically grown in their region. The result here is beautifully balanced for drip or espresso, exhibiting a typical crowd-pleasing profile of caramel, nuts and cocoa. Lighter roasts brewed for drip and darker roasts brewed as espresso show slight notes of apple and citrus, respectively.
